Carlo Ancelotti found his new assistant manager

The head coach of Bayern Munich, Carlo Ancelotti has been searching around for his new assistant and it seems like the Italian coach has found it as it was recently announced that the former footballer Willy Sagnol made his return to the Allianz Arena.

Willy Sagnol used to perform as a player of Bayern Munich for over 8 years where he managed to add various pieces of silverware to his collection. The former defender became a fans’ favorite and now his return to his former club has been completed.

Instead of being a player, Sagnol will be assisting Carlo Ancelotti as the retiree is someone who has vast experience competing and winning big competitions with Bayern Munich.

Willy Sagnol is replacing the former assistant of Carlos Ancelotti, Paul Clement who decided to make a move to the English Premier League as he joined Swansea City on January of 2017 while Hermann Gerland will be taking up a new position as he is no longer the assistant of Ancelotti and instead is going to become the Youth Academy boss of Bayern Munich.

"I'm pleased to return to Munich with my family. It is a great honor, Carlo Ancelotti, one of the best and most experienced coaches in world football chose me. I'm happy to work alongside him on his team." Willy Sagnol said after it was announced that he was going to be working closely with Carlo Ancelotti as his assistant.

Bayern Munich won the Bundesliga league for the 5th successive season and Willy Sagnol has to help Carlo Ancelotti not only in defending this title but also to aim for the UEFA Champions League which they have not been able to secure since the season of 2012-13.
