Austrian international Kalajdzic has been linked with a move away from Stuttgart and Bayern Munich were reported to be the frontrunners to sign him at the start of the current transfer window. The Bayern interest in Kalajdzicis dating back to the end of the just concluded league season. His representatives were at the Allianz Arena to discussa potential transfer to the five-time European champions.
The imminent arrival of Sadio Mane at the club has been partly responsible for the cooled interest in Kalajdzic. Bayern Munich have strengthened their attacker with the signing of the Senegalese international from Premier League team Liverpool. Bayern and Liverpool agreed a €41m deal for Mane to leave the club for the German champions. Mane had his Bayern Munich medical on Tuesday and he's expected to be confirmed as a new Bayern player on Wednesday. Mane has been at Liverpool for six years following his transfer from Red Bull Salzburg in the Austrian top flight and he has decided to embrace a new challenge in the form of Bayern Munich.
If Bayern don't make a move for Austrian star Kalajdzic soonest, he would be out of options in his quest for a big move within the German Bundesliga. Apart from Bayern Munich, he has also been linked with a move to Borussia Dortmund. However, Dortmund have turned attention to Ajax Amsterdam attacker Sebastien Haller with reports claiming that they have agreed a deal worth €35m for the Ivorian international as a potential replacement for ErlingHaaland who has gone to Manchester City in the Premier League.
