BAYERN MUNICH MAY FIELD WEAKER TEAM AGAINST LOKOMOTIV MOSCOW
Bayern Munich head coach Hansi Flick will be looking to rotate his squad once again for the Champions League Group A fixture after already securing their qualification to the knockout stages.
The Bundesliga and Champions League winners are the leaders of their group after impressing yet again in this current European campaign. In their previous game against Atletico Madrid, Flick made as many as nine changes to his starting lineup as he opted to hand game time to most of his second-choice team of players.
It is expected that Flick does the same thing for this match, in a bid to rest his star players ahead of the commencement of the last-16 fixtures.
Lewandowski would want to feature in the game so he would get more chance to score more UEFA Champions League goals either to try and catch up with the only two players who have more goals than him in the competition; Cristiano Ronaldo (132 goals) and Lionel Messi (118 goals).
However, his manager may not buy into that idea and decide instead to get his top striker rested and fresh before the next stage of the competition begins.
